AdminHistoryThe Adult Deaf Dumb Society of Victoria was based in New South Wales, Australia. In 1909 the Society built a substantial home in Central Road, Blackburn in New South Wales. A men's wing and a flower farm were established. A women's wing was later constructed. The property was known as "Lake Park", a place for the "aged, infirm & feeble minded deaf mutes" to live & work in, growing flowers and vegetables, for selling at the Victoria Market. In the early 1970s the Society demolished their premises and constructed a new complex further west.
