| AdminHistory | RWSW had a leading role in the founding of the School of Slavonic Studies at Kings College London (later SSEES) in 1915. From 1922 to 1945 he held the Masaryk Chair of Central European History at the School and was also founder and editor of the 'Slavonic Review' with Sir Bernard Pares, the School's Director. In 1945 he left London University for Oxford to take up the Chair of Czechoslovak Studies which he held until his retirement in 1949. RWSW was a member of the Royal Historical Society, Royal Institute of International affairs and Institute of Historical Research and a fellow of the British Academy. |
