| AdminHistory | The Society for Promoting Christianity amongst the Jews was founded on 15 February 1809, with only one missionary in London. By its centenary in 1909, the Society had 222 workers in various parts of the world - Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States of America - and many were converts from Judaism. The Society also set up mission schools for Jewish children. The Society produced two monthly publications, 'Jewish Missionary Intelligence' and 'Jewish Missionary Advocate', and a quarterly publication, 'Quarterly Notes'. |
