Title'Fascist activities' files: Antisemitism in the UK

DescriptionVarious material regarding antisemitism in the UK. It appears to have been collected by Maurice Orbach, General Secretary of the Trades Advisory Council (TAC) from 1940 to 1979, for his 'Fascist activities' files. This material consists of:

- press cuttings of antisemitic incidents;
- political newspapers and magazines which published antisemitic articles, or which were suspected of holding antisemitic views;
- magazines and pamphlets exhibiting antisemitic illustrations or antisemitic tropes in articles, often involving international finance;
- correspondence with people alerting the TAC to instances of antisemitism;
- material on Zionism and Palestine;
- anti-Communist pamphlets;
- far-right circulars;
- TAC memos regarding antisemitic activity;
- leaflets, circulars, and press cuttings regarding the ‘social credit’ movement;
- antisemitic remarks written by a senior officer in someone's military records.
