TitleMaterial from the USA regarding racial discrimination
Datec.1940-1963
DescriptionVarious kinds of publicity material and information handouts produced in the USA by organisations opposed to antisemitism and other forms of racial discrimination. The organisations consist of Jewish organisations, organisations from other religions, worker organisations, and civil rights organisations. This material appears to have been collected by Maurice Orbach, General Secretary of the Trades Advisory Council (TAC) from 1940 to 1979, and campaigner against racial discrimination.

The material features information about racial discrimination in the US, and also events in Europe (i.e. the Holocaust, and refugees). It includes:

- flyers for talks, meetings, and performances;
- reports from organisations;
- leaflets and pamphlets;
- a variety of posters promoting racial equality, including wartime posters;
- magazines and newsletters;
- a small amount of correspondence regarding the material, between these organisations.
