AdminHistory'TLRP's capacity building ends on the 30th April 2009 and the generic award on the 30th September 2009. This conference was the last large-scale activity which the generic phase of the TLRP mounted explicitly for the academic community, prior to focusing on specific impact events led by Miriam David and Alan Brown and handing over to TLRP TEL led by Richard Noss.

Methodological Development, Future Challenges was an opportunity to review the experience of both projects and thematic teams on TLRP, and to share insights from this with representatives of the next generation of researchers.

The event began with a lecture by Professor Gert Biesta (University of Stirling) at 18.00 on Thursday March 19th in the Jeffery Hall. Gert spoke on: ‘Educational Research, Democracy and TLRP’ and a discussion followed.

A dinner celebrating the conclusion of the generic phase of TLRP after almost a decade of research on teaching and learning followed at the Academy, Holiday Inn, Coram Street, Bloomsbury.

Friday 20th March saw a series of symposia, plenary sessions and posters starting from 09.00 and concluding at 15:15. See programme for details

Professor Pamela Munn, President of the British Educational Research Association (BERA) gave the final plenary presentation on Friday 20th March at 14:45 and TLRP Director Professor Andrew Pollard addressed the delegation at 13:15.

All colleagues who had research involvement with the TLRP were requested to invite and encourage a research student or early career researcher to also attend with them. Through this process, the experience of TLRP was shared more widely'.
