Description	Most of the file comprises correspondence between W A C Stewart of the CID and the Department of Education and Science (DES) and letters from Directors of Schools and Institutes of Education regarding the DES's drafting of circulars on the subject of the training of teachers for further education. There are a number of drafts of a circular written in 1965 on the existing types of training available. There is also some correspondence and a draft circular written in response to the report of the Standing Sub-Committee on Teachers for Further Education by the National Advisory Council on the Training and Supply of Teachers which advised the Department of Education and Science (DES) on the subject. This report was published in March 1966.
