Description | Correspondence between NUWT, Lamartine Yates and Lacey solicitors, various London Unit Election Fund subscribers, Mrs Key, Putney Divisional Labour Party and Various NUWT and LU members. The correspondence covers: the legality of what should be done with the election fund inaugurated in 1937 for Mrs Florence Key to run as an LCC election candidate in 1940, she did not run that year, but did in 1946 but was unsuccessful, the suggestion is that £500 should be given to Mrs Key as compensation for loss of pension and gratitude for her work and sacrifices, £50 to the NUWT and the rest to the general fund of LU. This was agreed on by all subscribers. Various discussions about the LU election fund. Amendments to minutes from 1936 meeting. Notification of a meeting to discuss the future of the fund to be held on 28/09/1948. Apologies and suggestions for how the fund should be used. Balance sheet. Extracts of minutes from meetings relating to the Election Fund from 1936-1948. Letters regarding a meeting about Mrs Key contesting for Putney in the LCC Election 1946. LCC election expenses.
