Description | Correspondence between Ethel Froud and members of Parliament regarding their stance on Equal Pay and whether they will support equal pay in a debate scheduled for the House of Commons in 1935. The correspondence is divided up into those who are 'non-committal', 'sympathy but opposed', and 'sympathetic'. The correspondence includes: Circular letter sent by the NUWT to NUWT members urging them to write to their MPs, as constituents not as members of the NUWT, enquiring if their MP supports the principle of equal pay Replies from the MPs stating their views on the principle of equal pay
The MPs included are Dudley Joel, E.W. Salt, H.R.Selley, Lt. Col. G. K. Mason, G.H. Eady, Sir George Jones, D. G. Somerville, Marcus Samuel, J.F.W. Galbraith, Lady Astor, P.J. Hannon, and Eleanor Rathbone
