Gellan (the British Section of Women's World Committee against War and Fascism) regarding NUWT concerns over the issue of a Home Office Circular on Air Raid Precautions and a speech given on the subject by Dr. J. D. Bernal, organised by the NUWT. The concern of the NUWT and Dr. J. D. Bernal were that Air Raid Precaution preparedness was an attempt to get people round to accepting war as inevitable.
