Description | Correspondence between the NUWT, the Board of Education, the National Association of Women Civil Servants, the Association of Assistant Mistresses and various women's organisations and unions regarding the 1944 Education Bill. An amendment to Clause 82 was moved by Mrs Cazalet-Keir, calling for equal pay for equal work, and was carried by 117 votes to 116. However the Government decided to delete Clause 82 and the NUWT were fighting against this removal.
