AdminHistoryDavid McAdam Eccles, 1st Viscount Eccles CH KCVO PC (18 Sep 1904-24 Feb 1999) was a British Conservative politician. In 1970 Prime Minister Edward Heath appointed him Paymaster-General and Minister for the Arts, a post he held until 1973. He was a trustee of the British Museum.
