AdminHistoryOn the outbreak of First World War, Wheeler initially served in Britain as an instructor with the Royal Field Artillery. In October 1917 he was posted as a major to the 76th army brigade, serving briefly in Belgium and Italy before being transferred to the western front in March 1918.
