Includes a copy of Brett’s poem “[The] Revolting Conscript” which Orwell intended to publish. Includes a cutting from The Tribune of Friday June 23rd 1944, in which “Blackout Blues” by Brett was published.
In his letter of 26 July 1944, Orwell mentions that he only possesses two copies of “Burmese Days”, an original first edition and a defective copy of the Penguin edition.
