TitleTeacher diaries
Date[1948]; 1964-1970
DescriptionThe open learning and team teaching undertaken at Eynsham required detailed records of activities to be kept by teachers. In order to maintain control over the school as a coherent whole, each teacher kept a daily diary which was read each week by the head. This was especially important during the early days, when the methods of teaching implemented by Baines were seen as extremely experimental. Some early lesson diaries (pre 1967) seem to have been kept as an example of previous practice, when a more structured curriculum was followed.
