Description
The magazine replaced 'Gateway' in April 1989. (Issues of Gateway Magazine is catalogued at BFE/B/3/93). Comprises the following issues: July/August 1991; October 1991; November 1991; and March 1992. Each issue had a section specifically on the garrison's schools.
Issue 1 - (April 1989)
Issue 4 (July 1989) includes articles on Derby Middle School's activities week and a report from Maroborough report
Issue 7 (October 1989) includes a report from Derby Middle School
Issue 8 (November 1989) includes a report from Derby Middle School
Issue 9 (December 1989) includes a report on the choir of Derby Middle School which performed Stdthalle Concert
Issue 10 (January 1990) includes a report on Christmas activities at Derby Middle School
Issue 13 ( April 1990) includes a report Derby Middle School's Song of Praise event, music lesson at Marlborough school
Issue 14 (May 1990) includes a report on sports day at Derby Middle School; and reports from Wellington and Marlborough schools
Issue 15 (June 1990) reports on activities at Marlborough and Derby Schools
Issue 18 (Setpmber 1990) report on sports achievements of pupils at Derby Middle School
Issue 22 (February 1991) includes a report on the Christmas fair at Derby Middle School

Issue 26 (June 1991) includes a report the Mayor of Derby's visit to Derby Middle School and a report from Wellington school
Issue 27 (July/August 1991): includes articles on: the opening of an aviary at Derby Middle School built by soldiers of 12 Field Squadron, 25 Engineer Regiment, a regiment with close links with the school; an annual art exhibition of work prduced by students of Derby Middle School under the tuition of artist Ian Henderson; and visits by pupils of Wellington First School to the Muster Planetarium and the redesigning of the school uniform.
Issue 29 (October 1991) includes articles on: 'Open Door Day' held at Edinburgh Secondary School; visit made by children from a local West German primary school to Marlborough First School; liaison between Willington First School and West German media and schools; annual performance by Derby Middle School with military bands at the twon's Stadthalle for the Anglo-German conference; and 'a day in the life of Walter Lewis' Headteacher at Derby Middle School
Issue March 1992 includes articles on: inspection by HMIs
Osnabruck was the largest British garrison in the world with c4000 troops. There were three schools on the garrison: Wellingon, Clive and Marlborough First Schools. Children then attended Derby Middle School before moving to Edinburgh Secondary School at Munster.
