Description | Comprises papers collected by Sue Adams during her time working as a teacher in schools in West Berlin in the 1980s and 1990s. Includes: Letter dated 2 April 1982 from General Sir Michael Gow, Cammander-in-Chief of BOAR thanking Miss Adams for showing him around Robert Browning School Programme for the British-Berlin Militar Tattoo in the Deutschland Halle, Berlin 1988 (in German with English translation) Issues of Bandanza (in English and German) Programmes and invitations to events including the Villa Lemm Ball 10th June 1989 Programme for 'The Last Tattoo' held in 1992 marking British troops' withdrawal by the end of 1994. The first performance was held in 1947 Photograph of children from Charlottenburg First School taking food to the Mother Theresa food kitchen following harvest festival. Includes headteacher Sue Adams, deputy head David Greenwood and Padre John Andrews Christmas card and programmes for school events for The Havel School Documents about the British Military Train which travelled from Berlin to Braunschweig. It ran every day apart from Christmas day and was pulled by an East German engine to Helmstedt where it was replaced by a West German engine.
