DescriptionDrawn by Johnson Savage. Long caption on reverse reads: "From a girl with confirmed Phthisis. The figure exhibits Vomicae with adhesions. The cavities are very irregular in shape and extent. They appear to have a lining of a whitish curdy like substance and they communicate with each other at various points. The (?) of the lungs between these cavities is much consolidated and studded with tuberculous matter. In the lower part of the figure a very small portion of the lung [marked a] is seen still to retain its natural condition. Delicate adhesions of lymph b,b, were seen between the lobes - C represents a band of adhesion between the Pleura Pulmonuli and Pluera Cortales."
