Description | The Economic and Social Research Council's 16-19 Initiative was a longitudinal research project led by John Bynner and K Roberts carried out among young people in four parts of Britain with contrasting economic histories and current labour market conditions. The areas used were Swindon, Sheffield, Kirkcaldy and Liverpool. These papers were all published by the Social Statistics Research Unity, City University, London form surveys carried out during 1987 - 1988.
