TitleNotes
Datec.1920-1976
DescriptionThese consist of 1 file of Schiller's rough working notes and 2 files of notes of a mathematical nature. In addition, there is a syllabus Schiller produced whilst at Rendcomb School concerning the teaching of geometry for 12-14 year olds. His working notes include ideas and quotations on scraps of paper, summary notes or main points of a lecture, poetry and pieces of prose by children. The mathematics notes were probably written during the 1960s (many of the notes are written on the back of scrap paper that was old correspondence which is dated at this time).
Extent4 files
ArrangementThe maths notes were already grouped together in envelopes on arrival at the Institute of Education. The maths notes (Ref: DC/CS/F/3/1) were in an envelope labelled 'Contents originally in Electric Blanket Box with demonstration objects'. The working notes ( Ref: DC/CS/F/2) were scattered throughout the archive and have been brought together because they are of like material. The syllabus was in an old ring binder which was rusty and broken so the papers have been transferred to a new file.
