Description	Report of the radiocarbon dating conducted on a specimen from the Schreckhorn tree - reference BM 95 - taken from the lower Grindwald Glacier in July 1947. Letters between De Beer and staff of the British Museum Research Laboratory, regarding the Schreckhorn sample; the limits of radiocarbon dating; and the results of tests carried out on the Schreckhorn tree. Memo on research into artificial disintegration. Letter from E Le Roy Ladurie regarding De Beer's research on the Grindwald glacier, requesting a copy of his results. Carbon copies of De Beer's outgoing letters are interspersed throughout.
