Many annotated on reverse; at least two were taken by W F R Weldon. Also includes photos of Helga's husband, Hal Hacker. Most are loosely tucked inside the album, a few photos at the front are pasted in with an envelope containing a lock of Helga's baby hair.
Also in the album are letters, notes and poetry, indicating that the photos may have been collected by Hal Hacker. Includes a letter from Julia Sharpe to Dr Hacker originally enclosing photos of Helga; a poem by Lina Eckenstein for Hal and Helga; a poem by Julia Bell (signed 'JB'); a letter from Sigrid to Hal originally enclosing photos; a letter from Karl Pearson to Hal originally enclosing photos as a Christmas present.
