Description | Two bundles of MS notes by E S Pearson on chi-squared tests, originally in a folder labelled "Departmental Lectures / Work on X2, some sampling re: degrees of freedom". With a covering note from E S Pearson explaining that these notes are the result of work carried out partly between the wars, partly to try to help Karl Pearson see the meaning in reduction in degrees of freedom, and partly for class purposes. The original wrapping of the second bundle of papers (now parts 2 and 3 of this file) was annotated by ESP: "There may be something here about power of 2 sample X2 test and non central X2". |
