DescriptionScrapbook containing copies of drawings, engravings, photographs, cuttings, etc, mostly regarding the ownership and location of Oliver Cromwell's head. Cromwell was supposedly exhumed from Westminster Abbey in 1661 and posthumously decapitated. A head reported to be his changed hands several times before being buried in the quad at Sydney Sussex College, Cambridge. Karl Pearson appears to have been interested in establishing the authenticity of the head.
