AdminHistoryFletcher was educated at University College London and the Royal Academy. He won the Architectural Association Medal for Design in 1888. He was a Lecturer and then Assistant Professor at King's College London, lecturing on architecture. He was also an Examiner to the City and Guilds of London Institute. From 1901 to 1938 he was an Extension Course Lecturer at London University. He then became a partner in the firm of Banister Fletcher & Sons. Fletcher was knighted in 1919. He published some professional text books on architecture. He died on 17 August 1953.
