<li>ff 1-2: Draft letters in Erasmus Darwin's hand, addressed "To the Queen", praising the monarchy and requesting that a new canal be named "The River Charlotte" [probably refers to the marriage of King George III to Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz; undated, but estimated c1761].</li>
<li>ff 3: note on prices for travelling from Hull to Gainsborough; from Gainsborough to Burton; from Bristol to Bewdley; and the number of locks on the Severn. Written in Erasmus Darwin's hand, undated.</li>
<li>ff 4r: copy of a poem in unknown hand beginning "Sir Hilary fought at Agincourt...", with note that Queen Adelaide had asked Sir Walter Scott whether he was the author, and that he replied in the negative; dated November 1st [17]42.</li>
<li>ff 4v: copy of a poem in unknown hand beginning "I sit lone on the rock, when I'm raising the wind...", with the note "Written by Denison, bishop of Salisbury".</li>
