This volume has three former owners:

Inscribed on the fly-leaf "Miss Galton from her affectionate brother the author". This must be Emma Sophia Galton, the only one of Francis Galton's sisters unmarried at the time of the book's publication in 1855.
Inscribed on the front free endpaper "Lucy E Studdy". Lucy Elizabeth Studdy was Francis Galton's niece, daughter of his sister Elizabeth Ann Galton and her husband Edward Wheler. Lucy Elizabeth Wheler married Thomas J Studdy in 1883.
Also inscribed on the fly-leaf "To A M Constance Pearson" and has the bookplate of Amy Mary Constance Pearson on the front pastedown. Amy Mary Constance Pearson nee Biggs was Francis Galton's great-niece. Her mother was Lucy Amelia Biggs nee Moilliet, whose own mother was Lucy Harriet Moilliet nee Galton, sister of Francis Galton.
