The following letters have enclosures: Letter dated 11 November 1878 includes a plan of a photographic shed. Letter dated 27 May 1878 includes five composite portraits of men, enclosed in part of a weather chart. Letter dated 30 July 1878 includes two photographs of men and one photograph of a coin. Letter dated 19 August 1878 includes a photograph of two busts of Greek/Roman women. Letter dated 2 February 1880 includes fifteen portrait photographs of men, women and children. Letter dated 9 March 1880 includes three portrait photographs of men. Letter dated 24 April [no year] includes two printed sets of composite photographs that were used by Galton in various publications (composites of men, including criminals, and composites of Greek/Roman women) Also includes eleven portrait photographs in packaging marked "Photographs from the letter: Reynolds, 1880, Feb 18.", but no letter with this date was found when cataloguing. |
