Description | Manuscript letter attached to first page of A Comparative View of the Mortality of the Human Species, at all ages; and of the diseases and casualties by which they are destroyed or annoyed by William Black, London, 1788. Letter is addressed to Karl Pearson saying that the library of the Royal College of Medicine was giving away duplicate copies of its books to respectable people. He told the assistant librarian to let Pearson know, but, in the meantime, he was sending him this copy. |
