DescriptionPrinted letter with details about the foundation of a Club in Wick, a village in Gloucestershire, and asking for money. No date but found with papers dated 1905. Galton annotated it at the top. Stated that everyone thought the experiment would fail. "It is as yet a stupendous success - place furnished as a gentleman's club, no bawdy songs... The first attempt of the kind in England. Don't send more than £100".
