DescriptionPea seeds glued to board, arranged in a grid of 18 cells in pairs or triplets. Contains a key to the three groups of pea seeds: 'number 1-6 are seeds of the hybrid 'telephone', the seed coats removed forming a scale of cotyledon colour and showing the continuity of the Mendel categories 'green' and 'yellow'; 7-12 are pairs of cotyledons of 'telephone' (each pair from one seed); 13-18 are similar pairs of cotyledons of 'telegraph', the hybrids from which 'telephone' was produced by selection, & all showing 'mosaic' colour inheritance'. Several sets of peas missing, originally mounted for exhibition.
