Publications include: translations of a number of works into English from Hebrew, French, and Yiddish; a series of essays on Anglo-Jewish history for the 'Jewish Chronicle' (1872-), published in book form as 'Sketches of Anglo-Jewry' (1875); he also wrote on Jewish and general themes in the 'Jewish World' and 'The Examiner'.
