AdminHistoryBorn 1822, son of Abraham Franklin, who traded with the West Indies, and his wife Miriam. Moved from Manchester to London in 1842 and joined a banking house. Later joined Samuel Montagu and Company, merchant bankers. Married Samuel Montagu's sister, 1856. Took an active interest in many communal organizations. Died 1909.
