Moses Gaster was his son-in-law. Publications include: a German translation (with commentary) of the Song of Songs (1867); an edition of Abraham Ibn Ezra's commentary on Isaiah (1873-1877); 'Jewish Family Bible' (1881); a translation into English (with annotations) of Maimonides' Guide of the Perplexed (1881-1885); 'Jewish Religion' (1891); 'Textbook of the Jewish Religion' (1891). |
