Secretary of the international Portuguese Marranos Committee, formed in 1926; secretary of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews' Congregation, London; Member of Council of the Jewish Agency for Palestine; Hon. Treasurer and Chairman of Political Committee, Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland; Chairman of the Sir Moses Montefiore Commemoration Committee for Chair of English at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem; Hon. Treasurer of the International Confederation of General Zionists; Member of the Council of the Jewish Historical Society of England and of the Jewish Memorial Council; died 1949. Publications include: 'The Synagogue and the Church' (1908), 'A History of the Jews' (1911), 'Die Liebesttigkeit im Judentum' (1913), 'Zionism and the Jewish Diaspora' (1921), Moses Montefiore (1925), Theodor Herzl (1927), Zionism in England (1930). Romana Goodman was one of the founders of the Women's International Zionist Organization.
