Description | Two sided paper featuring three sections from the Foreign Jewish Ladies' Benevlonet Society. One side is devided in two and features on one part an invitation to a 'Special General Meeting' for 'the purpose of Electing New Officers and submitting Yearly Balance Sheet', at the Grand Hall, 20, Spital Square on Saturday, February 19th 1898 at 6 p.m. The same is translated into Yiddish on the top of the page. The other part lists the committee members of the Society, both 'ladies' and 'gentlemen', as well as the trustees, auditors, secretary and collector. A portion of this is translated into Yiddish. The other side of the paper is the '9th Yearly Balance Sheet' from 13th Decmber 1896 till 19th December 1897. The balance sheet includes 'Income' and 'Expenditure' both in English and in Yiddish. Note that some of the titles and terminology used in the 'Yiddish' sections are in fact in Hebrew. Includes some small decorative illustrations on top of the page and the middle. |
