AdminHistoryGeorge Belasco, born London, youngest son of Joseph Simmons Belasco, 1868; educated at the Spanish and Portuguese Congregational Schools; founded the Jewish Communal League, 1887; minister of Ramsgate Montefiore Synagogue, 1888-1929; married Cordelia Nathan, daughter of Henry Nathan, 1892; died 1929. Publications include: introduction to Isaac ben Joseph Pulgar's 'Sefer 'Ezer ha-dat' (1906); 'The God of our Fathers, and Other Sermons' (1908); edited Jonah Rapa's 'Pilpul 'al zeman zemanim zemanehem' (1908).
