AdminHistoryFounded in 1910 by local workers as an educational and cultural centre for the community; intensely Zionist in outlook, it became a centre for the teaching of modern Hebrew; classes were held every weeknight and on Sundays; numbers attending classes and services at the Institute declined in the 1920s, and after many years discussion, it finally merged with the West End Talmud Torah in 1948, to create the West End Great Synagogue.
