| Description | Moses Gaster's account of his expulsion from Romania, handwritten in German. There is an accompanying note in English, written after Gaster's death, explaining that this account 'was taken from the badly damaged German M[anuscript]s of the first series of Ilchester Lectures. The last paragraph shows that it was addressed to "Herr Redakteur" though of what I can't trace, & it is dated Vienna 8.X.1885. The lectures were delivered in 1886.' |
