Description | Papers discussing Zionism and Palestine which were circulated to Moses Gaster, including correspondence with him directly. Most of these papers are associated with the 'Conjoint Foreign Committee of the Jewish Board of Deputies and the Anglo-Jewish Association' in some way, and they consist mainly of letters, memos, and proposals. They also include some press cuttings regarding the Committee and the Balfour Declaration, and notes of meetings with Sir Mark Sykes and Francois Georges Picot. The following names appear regularly in these papers: Lucien Wolf; Nahum Sokolow; Joseph Cowen; Chaim Weizmann; and L.J. Greenberg.
Includes a handwritten 'List of Documents', with dates. The documents in this file have been numbered 1 to 85 at some point.
