Description | Papers of Moses Gaster regarding the lead-up to the Balfour Declaration. This consists mainly of typescript copies of letters from Gaster to prominent political and Jewish figures, including Mark Sykes, Herbert Samuel MP, Baron James de Rothschild, and Chaim Weizmann, discussing the issue of Zionism and Palestine. It also includes typed pages of extracts from Gaster's diaries, and some typescript extracts from the autobiography of Chaim Weizmann.
