| Description | A large scrapbook created by Moses Gaster, containing cuttings of articles from newspapers and journals. The articles are mostly by or about Moses Gaster. The articles are mainly in English and the most common titles in this scrapbook are 'The Jewish Chronicle' and 'The Jewish World', however it also contains cuttings from regional newspapers from around Britain. There are several articles from Romanian newspapers, including 'Romania Libera', and a small number in German, Hebrew, or French. This scrapbook also contains a small amount of ephemera, in the form of invitations to events within the Jewish community in Britain.
The subject matter of the articles in this scrapbook includes:
- Zionism and Zionist conferences;
- immigration and the 'Aliens Act';
- the situation of Jewish people in Romania and Russia;
- the Spanish and Portuguese Jewish community in Britain;
