| Description | One of Moses Gaster's letterbooks, which at some point has been labelled 'Memorial Volume Correspondence', presumably by Gaster himself. It contains letters to Gaster regarding 'History of the Ancient Synagogue of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews, the Cathedral Synagogue of the Jews in England, Situate in Bevis Marks' (1901), a book which Gaster authored and then sent copies of to several people. The letters are mainly handwritten and mainly in English, thanking Gaster for the book. There is a handwritten index at the front of the volume. |
