Notes attached to some of the letters provide an English summary of the contents; subjects include scholarly works written by Tocilescu and Gaster; the purchase of manuscripts for the state's collections; the purchase of copies of Gaster's chrestomathy of Romanian literature by the Ministry of Cults and Public Education; a request from the director of the National Museum of Antiquities for Gaster to return some books and manuscripts he had borrowed. Includes a copy of the statues of the society "Cultura", containing the signatures of the founding members.
