AdminHistory | Kensington Preparatory School was initially the junior department of Kensington High School, which was first school opened by the Girls' Public Day School Company in 1873. The original school buildings were heavily damaged during World War II, and moved into temporary accommodation. The senior school closed in 1948 and the junior department moved to 17 Upper Phillimore Gardens and was renamed Kensington High School Junior School. In 1985 the school was renamed Kensington Preparatory School and run along the lines of a traditional preparatory school. In 1997 it moved to new premises on 596 Fulham Road. |
