| Description | HMI visits to institutions of teacher education to observe training in IT and the use of IT and educational technology in school teaching for non specialists in IT and computing. These were part of a HMI survey to follow-up the Trotter Report, and the attempts of ITT institutions to implement programmes of IT familiarity and of professional use of IT in teaching. The survey was conducted in two rounds, with some institutions visited a second time, a term or two after the first visit.
