| Description | Materials relating to training courses for (Ofsted) inspectors and others on inspecting IT and computing in schools.
Folder 1: Generic training materials for HMI tutoring recruits as independent Registered Inspectors in a 5-day training course that is followed up by some practical inspecting in schools. Also, materials from the Inspection Development Seminar for any inspectors who inspect IT as an element of the National Curriculum. This course was delivered to members of NAACE.
Folder 2: Training materials for the course 'Inspecting IT' using Ofsted's revised Framework for Inspection, for any Ofsted inspectors. Training events were organised by NCET, Becta and NAACE, and delivered mostly by HMI, repeated across various venues in England. Includes 3 VHS: 'Understanding Standards', 'Pre-course Video', and 'Standardising Judgements'.
Folder 3: Materials relating to a training course in 'Inspecting Primary School IT', designed by Ofsted with support from NCET. Includes examples of children's work created using computer programmes.
Folder 4: Briefings for LEA advisers regarding the inspection of the impact of NOF and the NGfL initiatives, and training for the AIs involved in such inspection. |
