TitleRegional Information Centres
Date1982-1986
DescriptionThe work of MEP's Regional Information Centres (RICs), including Northern Ireland.

Each of the 14 RICs was charged with collating information and ensuring that it was accessible to LEAs and local teachers. The provided information about local and national courses in IT, and commercial events (e.g. seminars) regarding software and hardware sales and support. Most RICs were located at or very near a LEA support centre for IT. The regular newsletters from some of these RICs are included here, as well as a copy of HMI's evaluation, which describes some of the RICs' work.
