Title	Geological Society: Council papers

Description	George Greenough’s papers regarding the Council of the Geological Society. This file contains: - A book entitled ‘Extracts of the Books of the Geological Society Relating to the Proceedings of the Council’. It was produced to assist a committee that had been formed ‘To revise the existing Rules and Regulations of the Society’. This book contains printed extracts of minutes, and handwritten pages regarding organisational structure which have been inserted later. The book was printed in 1826 but the inserts go up to 1847. - A book of handwritten minutes of the Committee of Trustees, which seems to have later become known as the Council around 1810. These meetings were often attended by Greenough. (1809-1811) - Handwritten rules and regulations for the Society.
