| AdminHistory | In 2004, council recognised that an increased volume of policy services work suggested the need for a dedicated Member group.
The purpose of the policy groups was as follows;
To undertake detailed oversight of policy services on behalf of Council
To receive and engage with reports on progress and evaluation of projects
To develop an understanding of what the GTC can learn from its policy services work and how that intelligence can inform other Council work
To have regard for the future development of the GTC's policy services
And aims;
" The policy services work contributes to the Council's remit and wider objectives for the teaching profession
" The quality of the policy services serves to enhance the understanding and reputation of the GTC among teachers and other stakeholders
" Council has a clear understanding of the policy services work, the benefits of the work for participants, and the benefits for the GTC's wider work
